Our Lady Of Fatima
The Messages from Mary, the Mother of
Jesus Christ, the Son of God

Click here for the prayers referred to in Mary's messages.

Carlos Lopez and Jorge Zavala have been transcribing the messages of Our Blesed Mother (over 200 now on file, more coming) since they first started receiving them in 1992.   Carlos and Jorge are both originally from El Salvador.   Spanish being their native tongue, they receive the messages in Spanish.   Carlos hears Our Blessed Mother audibly while Jorge hears her "in his heart".   They both describe Her voice as soft, sweet, motherly and very loving.   When a message is received by Carlos or Jorge at the Prayer Group it is usually during the Rosary.   They transcribe the message as it is received, and after the Rosary is completed it is read to the Prayer Group.   The message is then delivered to their spiritual directors for review and approval.   Once approved the message is distributed which includes an email to your webmaster.   As you can see from the above description the time lag from Carlos or Jorge receiving a message to it appearing here on the web page is dependent on many factors beyond your webmaster's control and can be as short as three days on up (the current record is just under three weeks).   The delays are the longest if Carlos or Jorge receive a message while they are on a trip outside of the United States.

In one of Her messages, the Mother of God said "Dear children, you listen to my words, but I also desire that you put them into practice by the way you live your lives."   So don't just read these words, take them to heart and live them.

In Her first message of 2005 She said "There are some of my children that no longer come to my prayer group; among them they say that I come to give the same messages all the time. How do you wish that I bring to you new messages if you do not put into practice any of my messages. Only a few pay attention to my messages and put them into practice".

2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007
As you read these messages you will see that Mary has several recurring themes:
  • She sees each and every one of us - individually - as Her child.   Almost every message starts with "Dear Children", She frequently refers to us collectively as "My little ones", and refers to Herself as our mother.
  • She asks us to return to a Sacramental life in the Church - frequent confession, Mass and visits to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
  • Regular individual consecration to Her Immaculate Heart.
  • Daily "conversion", which She defines very differently than some of us who converted to the Roman Catholic Church from another Christian denomination would expect...   Her message of February 3, 1999 explains in detail what She means....
  • Regular reading and living the Word of God in the Bible
  • Pray the Holy Rosary often - daily if possible - and she regularly calls it "the weapon which will defeat satan".   The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is important to Her also, and She recommends it frequently.
  • Regular Eucharistic Adoration.   One of the major tenets of our Catholic faith is the Real Presence in the Eucharist.   Mary has asked (several times, and not in these exact words) "When was the last time you visited Her Son at a time other than during regular Sunday Mass?"
For more information on the Real Presence, your webmaster suggests these web sites:
    • the Real Presence page at the web site for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
    • The Real Presence Association  founded by the late Father John Hardon, S.J., is a nationally focused apostolate promoting perpetual adoration.   Their web site has a database of the churches and chapels in the USA that have Eucharistic Adoration.   If you have a Palm, Handspring or Pocket PC computer you can download entire states at a time into it (as well as subscribe to the AvantGo channel called "Mobile Gabriel" that provides a 3-week running set of daily and sunday mass readings).

Mary's question above hit home, has changed your webmasters life, and for the better, I think. After meditating on it I've decided that every so often I can get home 20-30 minutes later and I stop in at a church (any Catholic church, it doesn't have to be your parish) and meditate on the daily Gospel, and maybe say a rosary in front of Marys statue. The web site www.masstimes.org has a zip code lookup fuction that will tell you where the nearest church is to wherever you are, and when it's masses and confessions are. While it was designed for travelers, it's also good to find the nearest parish church to your job, or in my case to a contract site, or field service site (especially for noon mass on holy days of obligation).
  • We cannot comprehend the love that Jesus has for us.   In message after message Mary says "If you knew how much He loves you, you would die of happiness".   Saint John Vianney (also known as both Saint Jean-Baptiste-Marie Vianney and as the Cur'e of Ars) used the exact same words when he told person after person "If you only knew how much Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament loves you, you would die of happiness." Then pointing to the altar Tabernacle he would emphasize, sometimes shouting, "JESUS IS REALLY THERE !!!".   Obviously Saint John Vianney (1786-1859) believed in the Real Presence of Our Lord.
  • The importance of being united with the Pope.   In Her message of Febuary 18th, 1998 She said "all who obey the Holy Father directly obey my Son Jesus".   In Her message of December 30, 1998 She specifically said "Listen to the words of the Holy Father.   Follow him, since he lives in the Truth, he will always be in the Truth and he takes the Church along the path of the Truth".   What part of that is hard to understand?
  • Mary loves, and I quote Her precisely, "her priests" and "my beloved priests".   Over 90% of Her messages end with some variant on "I bless my beloved priests who helped me this night".   Yes, she uses the possesive form every time.   On September 5th, 2001 She devoted Her entire message to the topic of priests and the priesthood.
  • In almost every message She asks us to "Pray, pray, pray", and sometimes She asks us more than once in the message - and every time She says the word Pray three times).   She has frequently commented on types of prayer, a good example is from April 25th, 2001.   Another example is from August 8th, 2002 where the entire message was about prayer.
Webmaster's Notes:
  • There are many different formats for the numeric representation of calendar dates in use around the world.   Depending on the local usage the date 02-03-01 could be March second 2001, Febuary third 2001, or January third 2002.   Your webmaster has resolved this ambiguity by adopting across this entire web site a convention where the date format used in unambiguous, for example 1995-Aug-05.   The problem of misunderstood dates has even been noted by the international standards community: see this ISO discussion link, this IETF Network Working Group link, and this summary by Markus Kuhn at the University of Cambridge in England.
  • At this time some years are only partially complete.   All of the scanning and converting of the paper archives is being done by a single volunteer - your webmaster - on a time-available basis so it will take a while (the most recent messages were converted first).
  • That volunteer - the webmaster - accepts full responsibility for any typographical errors created as he scans and converts the old paper records, and manually corrects any errors that creep in during the scanning - for example the flatbed scanner he is using loves to output a number 1 instead of the letter I at the start of a sentence...   If you find any errors, typographical or otherwise, please forgive him and send an email to the webmaster to let him know - he'll fix it.     Your webmaster is specifically not typing the address in the normal way on this (or any other web page) web page as there are automated systems, sometimes called "webcrawlers" or "sniffers", that look for email addresses on web sites and automatically add them to spam lists.   Your webmaster gets enough email as it is...   The current record is 342 messages in 24 hours, of which 39 carried active viruses or spyware and over 65% were spam.   And the spammers wonder why anti-spam legislation is so popular.
